Founded in August of 2020, iamvisABLE is an inclusive platform aimed to cultivate connections, heighten awareness, and empower individuals of all ages living with an invisible, chronic illness. Through the concept of art and storytelling, iamvisABLE strives to capture the invisible realities of living life with a chronic illness while simultaneously creating a safe space for connection and empowerment. The platform strongly values community, connection, empathy, and understanding to support those who may feel invisible, isolated, or alone in their pain.
It is estimated that 96% of the nearly 157 million Americans living with a chronic illness suffer from a condition that is invisible. Many individuals within society are not well educated on such conditions that impact people on a daily basis. This lack of understanding inevitably contributes to feelings of isolation and hopelessness for those suffering from chronic conditions; therefore iamvisABLE has been created to shine a light on those who are suffering from chronic pain in the shadows by providing opportunities to educate, connect with others, and share stories of countless invisible conditions, diseases, and disorders experienced by people from all around the world.
* It is important to acknowledge the spectrum within many of these conditions. If two individuals have the same chronic illness, then they may not look the same or experience similar symptoms. Therefore, I would like to highlight that even if we can see a person’s physical disability, there are still daily struggles, pain, and suffering that we may not see. Each person living with chronic pain has their own, unique story and every single one has the right to be represented.
Here at iamvisABLE, we see all of you.

The iamvisABLE logo aligns with the platform’s mission to heighten awareness for individuals
living with a chronic illness by combining the letter V and a ribbon, to promote visibility and symbolize awareness.

Juliana’s Mission
As an individual living with a chronic illness, it is my hope that through storytelling and self-expression the world can better understand individuals suffering from chronic pain in the shadows; that we may all acknowledge the potential and light within ourselves, and in others; and that we may strive to live a life filled with both empathy and compassion.
“What we don’t see is that when people suffer, people feel pain, it’s just connecting them to life.”
